Storage of boats at Whiteadder

We provide storage for boats in the field adjoining the Centre or near the main slipway.

Typical storage costs at Whiteadder are:

April to September in the field/by the slipway:
Single seat canoe/kayak/SUP - £70/£105

Small footprint dinghy - £120/£175

Large footprint dinghy - £190/£210

We can also accommodate boats on moorings and on the pontoon.

If you choose the field, there is a water access point at there which is suitable for small boats. Larger boats can be rolled along the frontage to the main slipway.

Please note that:

1. storage is at owners risk
2. owners must indemnify WWT against injury to third parties (WWT may ask for evidence of public liability insurance)

Other things to be aware of:

1. The storage charge includes launching fees
2. Power craft (except fishing boats with electric motors) are not allowed - this is your drinking water!
3. When moving boats around the site, please be aware of masts coming into contact with overhead wires
4. Anchors are provided to hold your craft down. You must provide you own ropes and straps. We recommend that you tie your craft down strongly and take your mast down during periods of non-use as winds are stronger these days!
5. Winters at Whiteadder can be tough and so consider taking your craft home. DO NOT leave it on site if you have not paid the full fee
6. Staff are not present on site 24/7 and so we cannot guarantee security or assistance while you sail. We will always assist where we can
7. Deposit and collection of larger craft is through the main gate. You will be provided with the gate access code on payment and the completed agreement document.
